Colombia visits Germany

I N C R E I B L E... parece mentira, pero mi familia colombiana ha estado en Europa y nos hemos visto en Berlín.

Unglaublich aber wahr... meine kolumbianische Familie war in Europa und wir haben uns in Berlin getroffen.

Incredible but true... my Colombian family came to Europe and we met each other in Berlin.

My second family just arrived. First meal in Berlin / Neukölln in a typical Biergarten.

Little tour downtown before going to bed. Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburger Tor by night.

And we're off! First real trip to downtown Berlin using the S-Bahn.

Depuis une semaine, je suis de retour chez moi. J'aimerais partager avec vous quelques impressions de ma région au lendemain de l'inondation en juin.

Seit einer Woche bin ich wieder zu Hause. Ich möchte ein paar Eindrücke über die Zustände nach der Flut im Juni mit Euch teilen.

Beaucoup de maisons sont vides et inhabitables. Il faut secher les murs avant tout. Voici une photo de notre cave. 

Viele Häuser in den überfluteten Teilen stehen leer und sind unbewohnbar. Bevor irgendetwas geschehen kann, muss das Mauerwerk wieder getrocknet werden. Hier ein Foto aus unserem Keller, in dem 'nur' ein Meter Drängwasser stand.

Auch die Natur wurde in Mitleidenschaft gezogen. Die Bauern verloren ihre komplette Ernte. Viele Büsche und Bäume haben es nicht gut vertragen, so lange im Wasser zu stehen. 80% der Rehe sind ertrunken.

La nature, elle aussi, a été endommagée grièvement. Les paysans ont perdu toute la récolte. Beaucoup de buissons et d'arbres n'ont pas bien géré d'être dans l'eau si longtemps. 80% des chevreuils se sont noyés.

 Les sureaux sont tous morts. Les jeunes tilleuls gèrent très mal la surdose d'eau.

 Alle Holunderbüsche sind tot. Junge Linden vertrugen die Überdosis Wasser auch sehr schlecht.

Dans le parc de Schönhausen, de très vieux chênes tombent car l'eau les a rendus instables. Les racines ont pourri. Avec le vent, les arbres tombent facilement. Défense d'entrer!

Parfois, les champs sont toujours inondés en partie. Ça sent moisi et marécageux:

Teilweise stehen die Felder immer noch unter Wasser. Es riecht moderig und sumpfig:

Devant les maisons, on voit des montages de poubelle. Les gens doivent jeter tout ce qui a été en contact avec l'eau. En fait, il faut complètement énucléer les maisons. 

Vor den Häuser stapelt sich der Müll. Die Leute müssen im Prinzip alles wegwerfen, was mit dem Wasser in Berührung gekommen ist. Ganze Häuser müssen entkernt werden. 

 

Et puis il y a toujours les problèmes de l'infrastructure. Les 5km de rails près de Schönhausen seront impassables encore des mois. Aucun TGV allemand passe. Beaucoup de rues ont été endommagées. De petits ponts sur les canaux ont été détruits ou emportés. Cela fait que l'on ne peut pas passer partout. Les panneaux illustrent très bien la situation:

Und dann sind da noch die infrastrukturellen Schäden. Die ICE-Trasse wird wohl noch monatelang unpassierbar sein. Viele Straßen wurden beschädigt. Kleinere Brücken wurden weggespült oder zerstört. Man kommt nicht überall lang. Die Verkehrsschilder illustrieren diese Situation sehr treffend:
